Understanding different types of business forms

Modified on Fri, 6 Oct, 2023 at 1:23 PM

Business forms are typically printed on NCR©  or carbonless paper, which gives the business owner a copy, along with the customer having their own copy. They are typically duplicate or triplicate forms, where the third copy would be for accounting purposes for instance.

When forms are bound together, they are called sets, where a duplicate form is a set of 2 forms and a triplicate form is a set of 3 forms, and so on.

The binding of the form is also relevant, as some offer certain advantages.

Snapset forms have a 1/2 inch detachable stub that can easily be detached, This is best when you want the forms to be together in an environment where they would easily detach.

Glued-edge forms are glued on one side and are most easily detached, so they are not ideal if you are on the road, but work out perfectly for office or retail environments.
