Barcode on return envelopes

Barcodes on envelopes

When a barcode is requested on a return envelope, the post office will generate one and sometimes even create a PDF of what the envelope will look like. Our system generates a new barcode for security reasons so our product may not look exactly like the PDF sent to us but we DO guarantee that the barcode will work and that the envelopes will be compatible with the United States Postal Service (USPS). The barcode will be based on the address, extended zip code and the type of envelope ordered.

IF the EXACT barcode printed on the envelopes per USPS is requested, we can use your own design and create an envelope based on the artwork received, and in this case, the barcode will match. We CANNOT, however, produce a system-generated barcode on a customized order so the barcode MUST be included in the custom artwork provided and only an order with your own design will work in that case.

Both processes are guaranteed compatible so it is really a matter of preference and/or price.
